Define and identify the four most commonly recognized forms of child maltreatment.

Review risk factors that may contribute to child abuse and neglect.

Become aware of the behavioral, emotional, and physical signs that a child is being maltreated.

Recognize the most common types of childhood inflicted injuries in order to report them.

OSHA & Infection Control Requirements the Self Study Course *¥
Upon completion of the course you will be able to:

Understand how bloodborne pathogens may be transmitted in the work environment.

Review the latest CDC guidelines and OSHA Laws regarding infection control protocols.

Review procedures and steps in handling an occupational exposure incident.

Review the proper use of personal protective equipment in dentistry.

Recognize how to avoid the transmission of pathogens to patients and healthcare workers.
-
Distinguish between cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilization and the guidelines for each method.
*Note: This course satisfies the coursework required by NY regarding barrier precautions & infection control measures.

At the end of the course there will be a link to the test.
A test score of at least 70% is required to pass the Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect Self Study Course and receive the credits indicated.
A test score of at least 72% is required to pass the OSHA & Infection Control Requirements Self Study Course and receive the credits indicated.
Test scores and a review of all wrong answers will be emailed to participants.
(Participants who score below 70% for the the Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect Self Study Course and 72% for the OSHA & Infection Control Requirements Self Study Course will be allowed to take another test (re-test) once at no extra charge).
Credit verification is mailed ASAP.
